Kathie is born

Graduated from Ft. Collins High School, Ft. Collins, Colorado.

Graduated “summa cum laude” from Colorado Women’s College, Major in philosophy.  (Junior year spent at University of Heidelberg, Germany)

Received Master of Arts Degree in Russian language & literature from Ohio State University

Teacher of Russian language and history at the Columbus School for Girls, Columbus, Ohio

Teacher of Russian language and culture at the Mackintosh Academy, Denver, Colorado

Interpreter (Russian and German languages) for the United States Department of State, at the Spandau Allied Prison in Berlin

Taught graduate level courses in Russian and Russian culture at the University of Maryland, Berlin branch

Worked as chairperson of the initiative group, “Friends of the Orthodox Church in Russia” in organizing and accompanying eight convoys of humanitarian aid to Vitebsk, Belarus.  Funds were raised by soliciting church and civic groups in Germany and the United States, as well as benefit concerts and exhibitions of Russian art
